About Us

Introduction

Founded in 1997, Euro Environmental Group (EEG) is one of the UK’s largest providers of drain and sewer cleaning, inspection and repair services operating in highly regulated markets from its nine sites across Scotland and England.

The predominantly Victorian sewerage infrastructure across the UK requires on-going maintenance involving non-discretionary reactive spend, which is typically outsourced on three to five years contracts providing predictability of earnings.

EEG’s 440 staff manage and operate an impressive fleet of 263 specialist fast response vehicles that are fitted with the latest CCTV and High Pressure Jetting technology to clean, unblock, inspect and repair drains and sewers. In addition, EEG provides a range of specialist services from drainage asset mapping to motorway, railway and runway drainage maintenance. We have sustained remarkable growth over the past few years, and now operate advanced environmentally friendly water jetting equipment with pressures of up to 36000psi. All water used in the vacuum equipment is recycled to minimise the water wastage and remove the need for a continuous supply of fresh water from the mains system.

The company has developed strong relationships with a large number of blue chip customers including utility companies, local authorities, private sector and corporate clients.

EEG has achieved an enviable reputation for service amongst its customers by continuous investment in its people, plant and equipment. We have developed excellent customer relationships through our quality of service, and with the help of our Group support services, in terms of Finance, Commercial, Business Development, HSEQ, HR, and Asset Management, including Fleet.

Sovereign Capital

Sovereign Capital committed £20m to Management-Buy-Out (MBO) of EEG in February 2010. Sovereign’s first Buy and Build opportunity in the utility services sector with the purchase of Future Environmental Solutions (FES) was completed less than one week from the initial MBO of EEG. Group revenues have doubled to over £25m with the bolt-on of FES, creating one of the UK’s leading service providers in its market. With Sovereign’s backing, EEG is committed to building the Group through organic growth and by acquisition, to become a national service provider in its sector.

Sovereign Capital, the UK private equity Buy and Build specialist, continues its strong track record and specific expertise in the service based sectors of healthcare, education, training, and business support services.

Before consolidating, EEG consisted of group companies Euro Environmental Contracts (EEC), DCS Utilities, Future Environmental Solutions (FES) and Energy and Utility Management.
